Job description
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures;
- Drawing up the annual plan for permanent and periodic controls;
- Carry out the permanent control plan;
- Evaluate the compliance of procedures, maps, agreements and contracts, and commercial documents;
- Regularly update procedures and maps;
- Ensure regular reporting to the company's management;
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews;
- Liaise with regulators and external auditors;
- Ensure correspondence with supervisory authorities and ensure the reliability, integrity and consistency of the information transmitted;
- Ensure the regulatory and legal monitoring adapted to the company's activity, in liaison with the Management;
- Transpose regulatory compliance provisions into internal tools and procedures, in liaison with management and operational teams;
- Analyse incidents related to non-compliance risks and define corrective measures;
- Define preventive actions and sensitise staff on risk management;
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters.
The Successful Applicant
- The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in regulatory compliance within the asset management or financial industry and working with CMVM or Bank of Portugal.
- A strong understanding of EU and local regulations, particularly AIFMD, DMIF II, AML, applicable to management fund companies (SCR, SGOIC, etc.);
- Fluency in English is essential;
- Excellent interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, with a preference for collaborative team environments.
- Candidates should exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, an interest in compliance, and the ability to assess situations effectively.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive attitude toward contributing to a dynamic, growing business.
