Requisitos:

For the academic year 2025-2026 (September), we are looking to recruit fully qualified and dedicated Art Teacher for Middle and Upper School (ages 9 to 18).

Requirements

· Hold a degree in a relevant subject and a recognized teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent).

· Possess a valid EU passport or working permit allowing employment in Portugal.

· Be a fluent speaker of English.

· Have excellent subject knowledge across a variety of media and techniques.

· Ideal candidates will have experience teaching IGCSE and A Level, across both the Fine Art and the Photography pathways.

Key Responsibilities

· Developing and delivering curriculum:
Designing lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with curriculum standards, ensuring that the content is age-appropriate and engaging for students.

· Classroom instruction:
Conducting lessons, demonstrations, experiments, and other learning activities to facilitate student understanding of concepts and principles.

· Assessment:
Evaluating student performance through a range of assessment methods, providing feedback to students on progress and areas for improvement.

· Differentiated instruction:
Adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning abilities, needs and interests of students, including those with special educational needs or English as a second language (EAL).

· Collaboration :
Working collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to coordinate curriculum, integrate cross-disciplinary concepts, and support student learning and development.

· Professional development:
Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices in education, curriculum developments, and teaching methodologies.

· Parent communication:
Communicating regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, academic concerns, and opportunities for involvement in their child's education.
