Wanted: Head of Risk, Brazil OSL•campo grande, ms, estado de mato grosso do sul, br Descrição da vagaRole Overview We're looking for a Head of Risk, Brazil to serve as a statutory officer of the company, owning the risk management and internal controls framework required for our license application and ongoing regulatory compliance with the Central Bank of Brazil. This is a foundational hire for our Brazil operation. you'll be one of the named officers in our regulatory filings and a key voice in how we build a resilient, compliant business from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain the risk management framework (operational, credit, liquidity, market, and technology risk) required for PSAV authorization under BCB regulations. Own the internal controls structure , ensuring alignment with BCB Resolutions 519/520/ ) and related normative instructions (IN 704/2026, IN 739/2026). Serve as a named statutory officer in the company's licensing application and corporate documentation, representing the company before the BCB on risk-related matters. Conduct ongoing risk assessments of virtual asset operations, custody arrangements, and third-party service providers (PSRs). Coordinate with the AML/Compliance Officer and Cybersecurity Officer to ensure a cohesive risk governance structure across the three regulatory pillars Prepare and maintain documentation supporting capital adequacy and prudential requirements as they apply to VASP-specific activities (RWA calculation methodologies, as clarified by evolving BCB guidance). Lead or coordinate the independent assurance report process (IN 739/2026) with CVM-registered audit firms. Represent OSL in engagements with BCB, CVM, and industry associations on risk-related regulatory workstreams. Monitor regulatory developments and proactively adjust internal risk policies as the VASP framework evolves. Report regularly to senior leadership and support the Board/Executive team with risk metrics and escalations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Strong experience in risk management and/or internal controls within regulated financial institutions in Brazil (banks, payment institutions, brokerages, or asset managers). Solid working knowledge of BCB regulatory processes, norms, and resolutions. Prior experience engaging directly with BCB and/or CVM in a regulatory/supervisory context. Strong understanding of prudential risk frameworks (capital, RWA, operational risk). Brazilian national or foreign national with valid Brazilian residency (statutory officer requirement). Availability and willingness to be formally listed as a company officer with associated legal responsibilities. Fluent Portuguese and Advanced English. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in virtual assets, crypto, or fintech risk management. Familiarity with VASP-specific prudential frameworks and evolving BCB guidance on RWA treatment for digital asset activities. Experience working with external legal counsel and audit firms on regulatory submissions. Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., FRM, CRM) a plus.
